Who we are
Driftwood Restaurant, La Route de la Côte, Archirondel, Jersey JE3 6DY ("Driftwood", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website, driftwood.je. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@driftwood.je or on +44 1534 852157.
What we collect, and why
Table booking requests. When you send a booking request we receive the details you enter: your name, contact details, party size and preferred date and time. We use them only to arrange your booking and to contact you about it.
Marketing. If, and only if, you tick the box asking to hear from us, we keep your email address for our news and offers list, together with a record of when you gave consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us, and we will remove you promptly.
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who handles the information for us
Like most websites, we rely on a small number of service providers to run things. They process information only on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
- Resend delivers booking requests to our email inbox and sends you a confirmation email.
- Google provides the embedded maps on our contact and home pages.
Cookies
We do not set any advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. The embedded Google Map on our contact and home pages is provided by Google and may set its own cookies when it loads; how Google uses them is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep things
- Booking requests: kept in our email inbox for as long as we need them for running the restaurant, then deleted.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Just contact us and we will sort it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email us. A person reads it, not a machine.
